October Julep Beauty Box
At this moment in time I'm not exactly the proudest of myself, I did something very naughty... After discussing budgeting and agreeing to pay off some big bills I promised my Fiancé I would cancel my subscription to Julep this month. Guess who kinda sorta "accidentally" forgot. I KNOW I'm a horrible human being! Uggg I should just go burry my head in the sand now...
.... But look at the pretty nail polish!
My mom always used to tell me "it's better to ask forgiveness than ask permission sometimes" you think I can blame her for this? Okay okay I know completely irresponsible. Let me show you what I got with this "temporary memory loss."
Juleps slogan #bravepretty is really awesome first of all. I'm a sucker for companies that believe in empowering people of all races, ages, and genders to feel good about themselves. Maybe that's just because I grew up awkward and insecure. But I think everyone should have the right to feel awesome! Another awesome thing about Julep is they are a Vegan company! Yes I am a total hippy tree hugger why thank you (insert giggling emoji here)
In this box I recieved:
- Julep:Nightshift- a deep sleep facial mask 2.8 oz full size. After washing your face before bed you apply a thin layer to your face so while you sleep your skin gets some love!
- Julep:Glow Highlighting powder in the color Champagne- 0.42z Full Size Compact. Apply using a fanbrush brush over cheekbones, Cupid's bow, bridge of nose and brow bone. It's supposed to bump up the light and hide your pores.
- 2 Julep Nail Colors in Desiree and Jean. Ps Desiree is holographic we all know I love glitter!
I tried out the facial, and personally I'm not sure how much I like it. My face felt really greasy and I broke out the next day, however it might have been operater error on my part... I didn't exactly read the directions all the way and missed the "thin layer" part vs my lets slather this on! More the merrier! The highlighter is fantastic, pretty much the same as any other highlighter, just keep in mind if you have acne this does contain Mica as well as Talc and it can cause cysts in really sensative skin (both my sister and I have that lovely abnormality!) and what can I say about the nail polish? Like really I love it, it last forever and has such amazing pigment.
I pay about $27 roughly per month for my subscription. And every month you have the option to skip it in case you are strapped for cash which is pretty cool.
