Watermelon Mint Smoothie
Okay first off I have to start with I have had The Scorpions stuck in my head since 6 o'clock this morning! Like who gets The Scorpions stuck in their head that early!?Like seriously I was born in the wrong generations!
Anyways let's get on with the recipe!
I decided to try something a little new, I'm a big fan of smoothies and had some watermelon that was about to go old so thought why not use it for a smoothie!
What you need for this smoothie:
- 3 cups watermelon (or if you suk at measuring 3 big chunks or more)
- a bundle of mint
Chop chop chop! Gotta get the watermelon cubes small enough to fit in the blender. Once they are nicely in the blender, rinse the mint, get it all clean (I grow my own so always gotta clean it good, #nospiders, lol that would be bad) I like a lot of mint so I have about a handful of mint that I throw in, you can always put less in if you aren't a mint person. Next I cut the lemon into slices and instead of squeezing the juice into it I actually cut the peal off one slice and toss it in. Obviously if you want it less tart I do suggest just squeezing the lemon. After add the water, personally I like smoothies to have more liquid so I added about a cup and a half of water, but again if you want less water put less in.
Now it's time to blend!
Blend blend blend! And serve!
There you have it, a yummy Starburst Smoothie!! Let me know if you try it and love it or absolutely hate it!
